1. Who We Are
This website, 18b.org (the "Site"), is operated by 18b The Las Vegas Arts District Neighborhood Association, a Nevada nonprofit corporation exempt under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN 46-0510791) (the "Association"). Charitable programs and donations referenced on this Site are administered by our affiliated entity, 18b The Las Vegas Arts District Fund, a Nevada nonprofit corporation exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN 88-2654645) (the "Fund"). References to "18b," "we," "us," or "our" in this Policy refer to both entities as applicable.
This Policy describes what information we collect through the Site and our communications programs, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways:
Information you provide directly. This includes your name, email address, and phone number when you subscribe to our email or text messaging lists; contact and payment-related information when you make a donation; and information you submit through contact forms, event registrations, or membership inquiries.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site collects standard technical information — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring URLs — through cookies and similar technologies provided by our website platform and analytics tools.
Information from service providers. Our payment and donation processors provide us with confirmation of completed transactions. We do not receive or store your full credit card or bank account numbers.
3. Email and Text Message (SMS) Communications
We offer email and SMS updates about Arts District news, events, and programs through embedded signup forms powered by Mailchimp, a service of Intuit Inc.
Email. By subscribing, you consent to receive periodic email communications from 18b. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may opt out at any time.
SMS/Text Messaging. By providing your phone number and opting in through our signup form, you expressly consent to receive recurring text messages from 18b about Arts District news, events, and programs. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any donation, membership, or purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you may reply HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Subscriber information collected through these forms is processed and stored by Mailchimp in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy. We do not sell subscriber lists or share them with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Donations and Donor Privacy
Donations are processed on behalf of the Fund through third-party payment platforms, currently Givebutter, Stripe, and PayPal. These processors collect and handle your payment information under their own privacy policies and security standards; 18b does not store full payment card data.
We respect our donors. Donor information is used solely for gift processing, acknowledgment, tax receipting, and communications about our work. We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information to any third party. Donors may request removal from our communications or ask what information we hold about them by contacting us at the address in Section 10.
5. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to operate the Site; deliver the communications you have requested; process and acknowledge donations; administer events and programs; maintain our contact and donor records; comply with legal and tax obligations applicable to nonprofit organizations; and understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
6. Service Providers
We share personal information only with service providers that support our operations, and only as necessary for them to perform their functions. These currently include: Wix (website hosting), Mailchimp/Intuit (email and SMS communications), HubSpot (contact relationship management), Givebutter, Stripe, and PayPal (donation and payment processing), and Google Workspace (internal operations). Each operates under its own privacy policy and applicable data protection commitments.
We may also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of 18b or others.
7. Your Choices and Nevada Privacy Rights
You may unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message, opt out of SMS by replying STOP, or contact us directly to be removed from our lists.
Nevada residents (NRS 603A): 18b does not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. Nevada residents may nonetheless submit a verified opt-out request regarding any future sale of covered information by emailing us at the address in Section 10 with the subject line "Nevada Privacy Request." We will respond within the time required by law.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may contact us with access or deletion requests, which we will honor to the extent required by applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site and our communications programs are intended for general audiences and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — subscriber information while your subscription is active, and donation records as required for tax and audit purposes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and rely on the security practices of the established platforms named in Section 6, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
