Statement from 18b The Las Vegas Arts District Neighborhood Association
Throughout July and most recently this week, the board of directors for 18b The Las Vegas Arts District Neighborhood Association held public meetings and met with the City of Las Vegas to discuss how best to advocate for both businesses and residents in response to the proposed removal of the Arts District’s noise ordinance exemption from LVMC 9.16.040.
We are pleased to share that the City of Las Vegas and City Council have decided to table the suggestion. This decision reflects the strength and unity of our community—and your voices were heard.
We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support in defense of our artistic expression—whether it's our mural-covered alleys, late-night venues, world-class galleries, impromptu performances, or the daytime lifeblood of our small businesses.
Looking ahead, the board will continue to engage with the City and Council to ensure open lines of communication on behalf of our several hundred small business owners and our rapidly growing residential population. Together, we will preserve and nurture the unique, vibrant character of our district—staying true to our roots in art, music, and authentic community spirit.
How can you help? Support us. Show up in the18b. Celebrate what makes us different. We are your neighbors, your artists, your local business owners.Join us—and keep the vibe alive.
